Dr. Pippa Shepherd is Parks Canada's Species at Risk Coordinator for Coastal BC and the Yukon.  Her role focuses on program and policy development, partnership building, working with multi-jurisdictional and multi-disciplinary teams to produce and implement recovery strategies and action plans for species at risk.  What Pippa values most about her job is the collaboration with dedicated colleagues from park management and conservation agencies, First Nations, academia, environmental organizations, and industry to put projects on the ground to recover species at risk.  Pippa joined Parks Canada in 2002 after many years of graduate school and contract work with the Canadian Wildlife Service on coastal ecology projects in BC, the Maritimes and Nunavut.
