SAMPAA Letters
Welcome to SAMPA Letters
SAMPAA's mission is to promote a culture of conservation to a diverse range of professionals, protected areas managers, students and community members by raising awareness through developing a knowledge base, educating our constituencies, and influencing policy change.
SAMPA Letters is a companion journal to the Journal of Science and Management of Protected Areas that is intended to target papers dealing with issues, concepts. and ideas that are not necessarily primary scientific investigations. SAMPA Letters will provide a venue for both, original papers and fr ongoing discussion of ideas, concepts, and issues arising from those papers. Papers will be available directly through the SAMPAA website.
Submissions to SAMPA Letters will not be peer reviewed but, on submission, they will be vetted for appropriate subject matter and papers will be edited for style. Papers may also be edited for length; authors will be given the opportunity to review and edit their manuscripts prior to publication.
SAMPA Letters will accept original manuscripts, not submitted for publication elsewhere, dealing with issues, concepts, and ideas related to science and management of protected areas.
