Harvey Locke is a native of the Calgary- Banff area who now serves as Vice President for Conservation Strategy at the WILD Foundation in Boulder, Colorado.
He is a founder and serves as Strategic Advisor to the Yellowstone to Yukon Conservation Initiative and is Senior Advisor Conservation to the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society. He has been a member of the executive committee for the last two World Wilderness Congresses and has served on the organizing committee for SAMPAA. Harvey has led successful conservation campaigns on public land and worked extensively on private land conservation in North America. He has given keynote addresses on parks, wilderness and large landscape conservation in English, French and Spanish to audiences around the world. His writing on parks, wilderness and large landscape conservation been published in eight countries in both peer reviewed and popular formats and he has appeared in many films on these topics."
